Ready to take your Ballroom and Latin American dancing beyond the basics? Our Adult Developers Course is designed for dancers who are confident with beginner-level steps and want to continue building skill, confidence, and variety on the dance floor. This course develops the dances introduced at beginner level while gradually adding new styles, allowing you to progress in a supportive, well-structured environment. We focus on technique, musicality, and enjoyment — helping your dancing feel smoother, stronger, and more confident. Dances included: Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rhythm Foxtrot, Rock ’n’ Roll, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Jive, Quickstep, and Rumba. Two dances are taught per month. The course runs in 2-month (8-week) blocks, making booking simple and flexible. We understand life gets busy, and this structure allows you to commit without pressure while still progressing consistently. Trying the class: We offer free trial classes throughout the year. If a trial isn’t available near you, a casual rate may be booked only in the first week of the month. This ensures everyone starts together and gets the most from the class. Casual bookings must be arranged by emailing Kes directly to confirm payment and class details. Location: Whangaparaoa Community Hall - 717 Whangaparaoa, Hibiscus Coast Time: 7.45 – 8.30pm What to bring: Comfortable clothing, secure footwear, and a positive attitude. Footwear requirements (all halls): Non-dance shoes with heels are not permitted. If not wearing dance shoes, please wear sand shoes or sandals with a secure back strap. Ladies’ dance shoes must have heel caps fitted — no exemptions. Practice and teaching shoes with suede soles are permitted. Thank you for helping us care for the venues we dance in.
